Gas masks (2023-….)
What do you feel when the world is falling apart around you? outrage, anger, sadness, joy? what does it even mean, ”the end of the world”?
A gas mask is an object we use to protect ourselves from hazardous environments, to keep us breathing, to give us strength, and to make us survive another day against all odds to spite the people who don’t want us here. To hope is to fight is to breathe another day.

With this collection of works, I take out my emotions and frustrations with day-to-day life affected by the dread of certain doom, like climate change and the war on my and countless others marginalised bodies.
